Stop Begging!
HIS WORD:
Psalm 37:25(KJV)
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Sister 2 Sister:
Greetings,
Okay, enough already, people. Please! I am sick and tired of hearing my fellow Christian Sisters and Brothers tripping and worrying over this "supposedly" world financial crisis that the Media so happily loves to report! Some think I am crazy and have my head in the clouds. Half of that statement is true. My head/eyes is focused on things in Heaven and I trust and believe in the Word of God!
I am here to testify to you today. In my past, I have been without work, months
on end. It was not a "financial crisis or crash on WallStreet" at that time,
but to someone unemployed, with bills and mouths to feed, it is a crisis! Yet I
chose to trust in the good Lord above to meet all of my needs. Not wants, but
needs. He has never allowed me and my son to be evicted or go without food and other daily essentials. He provided! I Praised Him, not the government!
Less than two years ago, I lost my job. I filed for unemployment. I was
denied, because Employer lied and blocked me from getting my unemployment (yes, we do pay into it, so if we get unemployed, we receive a certain amount,
weekly). It was also around tax time. Wouldn't you know the IRS audited me and said I owed from 2003! Yep. So, I didn't get a refund. Child-support hadn't kicked in then yet either. So, the very resources (which are ALL Government run - State and local and Federal) we tend to look to for relief, DENIED me. That was GOD getting my attention for sure! Lord, is what I said, I trust in You and I am expecting a miracle at this point (lol). I said, Lord, You said you will meet my needs. Well, as you can see, there is some major needs taking place as I speak (lol). Lord, I said, so as hard as it is, and I do feel nervous at times, I am letting go of all doubt and fear I have and trusting in You to work this out.
So, with that being said, I applied for a job (yes, I had been applying since
the day I lost my job), I received a call for an interview, went in on a Monday,
was offered the job that Wednesday. Praise God!!!!!! Yes, a year and a half
later and I am still with the same Firm! I received my first pay check in time
to pay my rent!!!! I know many of you are probably saying - "I do Trust God but He just ain't showing up for me". However, part of trusting is doing
(obeying). How can you say you trust God, but you stop worshiping Him (going to Church) when things in life don't go as you like? Do you honestly think because you worship God, that trials won't come your way? Be for real! You, as a parent, have you been able to give your kids "Happy Days", 24/7? Yet,
everything always worked out? How would you feel if your children turned to
your enemy for support every time things went the opposite of how they'd like?
You'd be crushed!
God is not purposely upsetting our lives but what we have to understand is
this. Would you want people around who only love you when you do what they
want? Is that true love? God wants us to show Him that no matter what the
circumstance looks like (the storms and winds) we never lose trust and faith in
Him! He loves you! So the sooner you let go of fear and doubt and re-focus to Him (not TV, Media, or Government), the sooner He will show out and show you Who is Lord!
Love is a two way street. However, you may take a detour, but God never
changes. He is waiting on you! It is never too late. Stop begging man to meet
your needs. He ain't God! Change your language and attitude! God is your
source! Wake up and start following Him (Go to Church, read your bible,
fellowship with Believers, because the unbelievers will have you stashing your
money away because we about to go into another depression! Pure Panic, and that is not from God!), and cut the world (TV, Magazines, CNN, Fox News) OFF! It is OK to be informed (daily and world news) but do not look to it for direction!
Be Blessed and Encouraged and remember, PRAY for the Leaders in Government (because we are to respect all authority in place) but pray and rely on God for everything.
Love Your Sister In Christ Jesus,
Shannon R.
